Biography of Corbett Daniel Parker
Strong, Long-Time Bellaire Ties
Corbett Daniel Parker is a native Bellaire-ian running to help lead a community that provided so many opportunities to him. Corbett has lived on Magnolia Street for 20 years, served on the inaugural Bellaire City Teen Council, graduated from Bellaire High School (member of 1999 National and State Championship Baseball Team, inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2006), wrote three articles a week on high school football as the youngest sports reporter at Houston Chronicle during high school, and attended Horn Elementary. After going to school (see below for academic credentials) in Malibu, California, Australia; and The Netherlands, Corbett moved back to Bellaire in May 2007 and immediately redeveloped community roots.

Personally Invested in Serving Community
Corbett is heavily invested in the community having founded the Rotary Club of Houston Skyline as a modern club that is a vehicle for the next great wave of Rotarians to serve the community in a profound way. Corbett has quickly risen in the Rotary organization recently being named District 5890 Small Club President of the Year, youngest member ever selected for District Governor Selection Committee, presented Paul Harris Fellow Award (second such award) for being the Rotarian that brought in the most new members last year (out of 3000 Rotarians) and Membership Development Award (for creativity in growing membership). Corbett represented District 5890 and Houston as the recipient of a 2005-06 Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, where he studied European private law in the Netherlands. Corbett represented District 5890 at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards at the International Convention in Los Angeles in 2008. Corbett is a frequent public speaker to community organizations, youth programs, and other groups. Corbett is a passionate advocate for progress through personal responsibility and hold himself and those around him to high standards. He has a very strong work ethic with the mentality of faster, further, and do it like yesterday. Corbett is comfortable in any conversation, has long embraced diversity and inclusion, and has the interpersonal skills to relate to many personalities. Corbett has always done things that others didn’t think was possible at an age many believed was too young.

Corbett has worked as corporate transactional attorney at Pagel, Davis & Hill, P.C. (outside counsel) in downtown Houston since October 2007. Previous jobs include:
- Research assistant to Edward Larson (1998 Pulitzer Prize Winner) and Jack Coe (reknown international arbitratior). Assisted in three law review articles.
- Intern in Treasury Department of State of Texas Comptroller’s Office (2002)
- Tutor to Baylor University foreign student athletes (2001-03)
- Youngest high school sports reporter for Houston Chronicle (1997-99)
