I HAVE GIVEN MY HOMETOWN EVERYTHING I HAVE GETTING READY TO LEAD

I am prepared to lead my hometown. I am committed to listening then taking the actions necessary to make Bellaire the best it can be. The main issue in this election is simple, who is best qualified and most willing to work hard to ensure Bellaire remains a premium place to live. Others tell you they want to listen to residents and keep Bellaire small, I have taken action to actually do it. This policy paper gives my full understanding and analysis of the issues most discussed during my reaching out to over 100 Bellaire community leaders and many residents.

If you don’t remember anything else about my candidacy, I ask you to remember these 3 things …

1) There are candidates that merely want the title, and candidates that have sacrificed greatly and fully committed themselves to earning the honor to represent their fellow citizens. I am committed and have put in the sweat equity necessary to make my hometown the best it can be. I am proud to say I have given my hometown everything I have got. This is illustrated in recent comments of multiple councilmen that in all their years involved with city, no candidate has ever attacked becoming fully informed and prepared with so much vigor. I do not have all the answers and solutions, but I will work hard to get them.

2) Having grown up in Bellaire and being the candidate with the most complete knowledge of the city, I am the candidate with the best ability to base every decision on whether the proposed action will enrich the close-knit community and truly represent the diverse concerns of Bellaire residents. When citizens talk, council should respond. I have listened and will continue to take the time to seek out those that can educate me on pertinent issues, and be responsive to residents concerns.

3) Former Council members have said that serving on council is a tough, time consuming job that requires energy, passion, and a willingness to listen. I have a simple leadership style- listen to what people say not how they say it, bring people together, find common ground, and get things done. That leadership style has allowed me to garner many endorsements including many current or former council members and numerous city board members, each of which know what it takes to lead Bellaire. It is particularly heartening that I have attracted the support of independents, democrats and republicans alike.
